🎉 Exciting news from Project SEARCH at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that two of our interns have recently been placed in amazing job opportunities!

✨ Jess is now working at Urban Air, where she greets guests, checks them in, and helps monitor play areas to ensure everyone’s safety. She has been doing a fantastic job engaging with guests and bringing great energy to her role!

🔧 Tyler has started working at AJR on their assembly line. In his position, he carefully checks for loose threads before products are packaged. Because AJR produces medical-grade products, they maintain strict floor requirements and were unable to accommodate a job coach on-site.

Thanks to Tyler’s experience through Packing Empowerment Summer Camp and Project SEARCH, he felt confident stepping into this role independently — and he has been thriving! His team has shared extremely positive feedback, noting how much they appreciate his upbeat attitude and enthusiasm.

Ready to build real job skills, gain confidence, and explore exciting career paths? Our 8-week Packing Empowerment Camp offers hands-on training, job shadowing, and facility tours with local manufacturers — all in a supportive environment designed for success!

Maya has officially been hired as a part-time employee at Chick-fil-A! 🐔👏

Maya began her journey as an intern, working as a lobby attendant, and throughout her internship, she showed incredible growth, dedication, and a strong work ethic. As she gained confidence, she took on additional responsibilities and continued to impress her team with her positive attitude and commitment to doing her best every day.

After completing the application and interview process, Maya was officially offered a position — a truly well-deserved accomplishment!

We are so proud of Maya and excited to see her continue to grow and succeed at Chick-fil-A.

We are beyond thrilled to celebrate Jessica, our Project SEARCH intern at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, who has officially started her new role in the Central Supply Chain/Dock department! 🎉

Jessica first interned with this team during her second Project SEARCH rotation and made such a strong impression that her managers and coworkers knew she had to be part of their team. Now, her dedication and hard work have paid off—she’s stepping into a paid role where she can put her skills to work every day!

🎉 Nothing is more exciting than seeing our participants thrive year after year!

Recently, Project SEARCH Delnor hosted an open house where two amazing graduates shared their experiences of life after Project SEARCH.

✨ Temen has been a care manager at an assisted living facility since 2020. She works full-time and absolutely loves it!
✨ Doug has been a custodian at a local school since 2024 and just got approved for his very first apartment!

Celebrating the continued successes of our participants is truly inspiring. Knowing that Project SEARCH helped them gain the skills to grow into accomplished, independent members of their community is what drives us every day.

This week, we welcomed families to learn more about our program—and it was a huge success!
Our current interns volunteered their time to help run the event, sharing their experiences, showing off our classrooms, and giving a detailed look at the skill-building internships available.

PAEP is teaming up with Wheaton Public Library and People's Resource Center to host a Job Readiness Workshop this spring! 🎉
Participants will get the chance to practice mock interviews, receive resume feedback, and learn tips to manage interview anxiety—all to help build confidence and job-ready skills.

🌟 This week, Project SEARCH at Central DuPage Hospital hosted Working Interviews for the upcoming 2026–2027 class!

Candidates rotated through various stations, showcasing their skills in real time while allowing us to get to know them better.

A huge thank you to our staff for facilitating each station and keeping the day running smoothly. 🙌 We also appreciate the support of team members from Northwestern Medicine, SASED, DRS, and PAEP, who helped create a positive and engaging experience for all involved.
