Leak testing isn’t just a box to check. It’s a frontline defense for patient safety.

Ensuring internal integrity starts at the decontamination sink. Undetected damage can allow fluid invasion, harbor bioburden, and expose patients to infection risks. As outlined in ANSI/AAMI ST91, leak testing should occur as soon as the scope reaches the processing area and before immersion.
