🟣 Hillsboro Health will host a free mental health training workshop! 🟣 April 27-28 🟣
Living Works Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an evidence-based, interactive two-day training designed to help participants recognize when someone may be at risk of su***de, engage in supportive and potentially life-saving conversations, and connect individuals to appropriate resources.
This hands-on training focuses on practical skills, confidence-building, and shared language to strengthen local response to mental health crises.
What participants will gain:
-Increased confidence recognizing su***de risk
-Skills to engage in direct, supportive conversations
-Strategies to develop a safety plan and connect individuals to help
-A shared framework for responding to crisis situation
Who should attend:
-Healthcare professionals
-First responders
-Social service providers
-Educators
-Community leaders
-Anyone who lives or works in the community and wants to be prepared to help someone in crisis.
No prior mental health or su***de prevention training is required.
