Hey everyone! I’m back and mostly healed up from surgery! With that being said if your horse, dog, or even yourself needs some laser therapy done let’s get something scheduled!

Also, I’m in the finishing process of getting certified in craniosacral therapy. Be on the look out for when I can officially offer that service!

🍁Hope everyone has a great first day of fall!🍁

Good information! It’s gonna be hot one for the next couple weeks!

If an unlimited water supply is available, the quickest way to cool a hot horse is to continuously run cool water over the horse with a hose without stopping to scrape it off.

However, when trying to cool a hot horse with a limited supply of water (e.g., when camping), most suggest applying the water, scraping it off, and then applying more water. In the absence of continuous water, scraping can help encourage evaporative cooling.

Focus water application to the head, back, neck, rump, and legs. You can apply ice water to high blood flow areas including the head, neck, back, and ribs (avoid applying ice water to the large gluteal muscles). A fully cooled horse will have cool water dripping off them rather than warm water.

Wanted to give everyone an update on what’s going on. I’ll be having surgery on August 19th for a hip labrum tear. I’ll be out for about 3 months. With that being said if you’re wanting to get work done before I have surgery please message me to get something to set up. I’ll hopefully be completely certified in both equine and canine craniosacral before then. I’ll be able to do red light appointments as well. Depending on how healing goes I can take clients with animals that are calm and easy to work with before those 3 months. I’ll be fully healed in 6 months and be able to take on normal clients.
