🌟 Meet our March Wellness Center Resident Spotlight: Joyce Heinaman!🌟

Joyce has been part of our Wellness Center family for over 10 years, joining just weeks after moving in at Luther Acres - A Luthercare Community! She loves water aerobics, has embraced weight lifting, and enjoys the balance of cardio and strength training in our Total Body Toning classes.

For Joyce, the Wellness Center is about staying strong, healthy, and social. “Having programs designed to fit your needs and abilities are vital to keep us in top shape,” she says. Thanks to her dedication and our Wellness Specialists, Joyce has become stronger, more coordinated, and her doctor has been thrilled with her check-ups! 💪💧

We are so honored to celebrate another Gold Sponsor, Luthercare, at this year’s Fire & Ice Festival! ❄️🐧

Their ice sculpture was a true festival highlight—a heartwarming and interactive Arctic Family design that invited visitors of all ages to step into the scene. It was a joy to watch so many families stop to snap a photo and share a smile.

For our second feature for International Women’s Month, we’re highlighting Elizabeth Commander, Director of Resident Care Navigation & Wellbeing at Luthercare.

Elizabeth says one of the moments she felt most proud was earning her associate’s degree in nursing while attending school full-time, working as a certified nursing assistant, and raising her daughter on her own. That experience reminded her just how strong and determined she truly was.

She’s inspired by women who show resilience and believes an important lesson for every woman to remember is that self-care isn’t selfish. Taking care of yourself helps you show up ready to care for others.
