Pre-participation sports physicals

Sports concussion assessment and management, including ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) to determine whether injured athletes are ready to return to play. ImPACT is a scientifically validated computerized testing tool that provides objective information for assessing recovery following concussion, managing post-concussion symptoms, and determining readiness to return to sports participation, school and work. We can use pre-play ImPACT testing to establish a baseline for athletes involved in high-risk, high-impact sports. Tenex Health TX® technology
This advanced, minimally invasive procedure is used to treat chronic tendon pain. Using ultrasound imaging and requiring only a micro incision, damaged tissue is located, broken down, and safely removed. Musculoskeletal ultrasound to help diagnose strains, sprains, tears, and other soft muscle conditions

Treatment of sports-inhibiting arthritis and bursitis

Carpal tunnel pain management

Nerve blocks and ultrasound-guided injections for muscle or join pain

Platelet rich plasma therapy
This advanced non-surgical technique for pain relief and healing uses platelets in your own blood to treat acute, chronic and long-term pain from osteoarthritis, as well as tendon, ligament and cartilage injuries. The state-of-the-art technology releases growth factors and stimulates repair. Integrative medicine, including dry needling for muscle pain. Dry needling involves inserting a dry needle, or one not containing medication, through the skin into muscle areas known as trigger points. Nutritional consults to assure your diet is appropriately supporting your athletic endeavors; assistance with decisions regarding supplements

Our physicians have access to innovative technology that helps athletes rehab without bearing their full weight, reducing the strain and impact on recovering joints, bones, or muscles. The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill is available at the Suburban Pavilion.

Athletic Trainers promote wellness long before an injury ever occurs, while also delivering exceptional injury management when it’s needed. ATs assess movement quality, mobility, and muscle imbalances to identify risks early and correct them through targeted strategies that support healthy, sustainable activity. They also guide individuals through the habits that influence overall well‑being—supporting mental health, reinforcing positive coping strategies, and educating on nutrition that fuels performance and recovery. By protecting healthy movement and supporting the whole person, ATs help people build strength, resilience, and long‑term health through prevention, education, and consistent, reliable care.

National Athletic Training Month 2026 is here, and this year’s theme—“Care you can count on”—captures the dedication, expertise, and compassion our athletic trainers demonstrate every day. Whether they’re on the sidelines, in the clinic, preventing injuries, or guiding someone through recovery, ATs show up with steady hands, sharp clinical judgment, and genuine care that stays with people long after the season or injury has passed.

If an athletic trainer has helped you; by easing a worry, celebrating a milestone, or being a source of encouragement, we invite you to share that appreciation. Those messages matter to them more than you may realize. This month, we’re excited to honor the history, advocacy, and behind‑the‑scenes work that define athletic training and strengthen the communities we serve.

Meet Cindy Williams, one of our incredible CSS team members whose warmth, dedication, and positivity brighten our department.

Cindy was born and raised in South Jersey and now lives in Reinholds with her husband, Brian, and their two very lazy cats. She’s a proud mom of two and a grandmother of two—and she’ll tell you without hesitation that being a grandmother is her greatest joy. Her grandchildren are her “love and light,” and she cherishes every moment spent spoiling them.

Before joining us, Cindy spent 18 years as a supervisor in Dietary and Nutrition Patient Services in a hospital setting. After nearly two decades, she felt called to try something new in healthcare—and we’re so grateful she chose the CSS role. She finds the work both challenging and rewarding, and she especially appreciates her coworkers, describing them as a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to work with.

Outside of work, Cindy loves tending to her flower gardens, cooking recipes from Ina Garten and Julia Child, and adding her signature touch: “If something’s missing, add a little wine or a splash of vodka!” She also enjoys cruises to the Caribbean, trips to the NJ shore, and listening to music—especially 70s and 80s folk and classic rock. Concert nights are her favorite.

A coworker said of her: “Cindy is always so pleasant and truly brings balance to our team. She genuinely cares about everyone and is always willing to help—whether it’s stepping in with work tasks or even going the extra mile by buying snacks and setting up a snack bar for all of us. She holds the team down in the evenings on her own, always making sure everything is finished and cleaned before she leaves. Her dedication and reliability never go unnoticed. Cindy is also constantly asking if there’s anything she can do to improve herself or support the team better. That kind of mindset is rare, and we truly appreciate her for it. We’re so grateful to have her as part of our team.”

We’re lucky to have Cindy on our team, and we appreciate everything she brings to our community!

Huge congratulations to our Clinical Athletic Trainer, Tori Baker, MS, LAT, ATC! Her Master’s thesis has officially been published in the Journal of Clinical Practice in Athletic Training — a tremendous achievement and a testament to her dedication to advancing our field.

Tori, alongside her colleagues from West Chester University, authored a systematic review titled “Psychological and Psychosocial Effects of Contemplative Practices in the Athletic Population.” Their work sheds important light on how mindfulness‑based practices can support the mental well‑being of athletes, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her expertise on our team.

Join us in celebrating Tori for her hard work, her commitment to evidence‑based care, and this incredible professional milestone.

: Digital Detox

Our screens keep us connected, but constant scrolling can quietly drain our energy, disrupt sleep, and make it harder to stay present. Today’s a perfect moment to reset with a mini digital detox. Try starting your morning with 10 screen‑free minutes, enjoying a phone‑free lunch, or turning on Do Not Disturb for an hour tonight.

And if you want an easy way to ease in, try a simple swap: trade doom‑scrolling for a quick stretch, after‑hours emails for a single journal line, or background TV noise for a calming playlist.

Small shifts can make a real difference in how grounded and clear you feel. What tiny detox are you choosing today?

: Carbs aren’t the enemy — they’re your body’s main fuel source, powering your brain, muscles, focus, and overall energy. The real issue isn’t carbohydrates themselves but relying too heavily on refined, low‑nutrient options that lead to quick spikes and crashes.
