As much as I value faith & spirituality, certain things are out of our control in regards to how much time we have on this earth & the ever-controversial subject of the afterlife.

What is in our control, is to be present here & now. To question are we living while we are actually alive or are we droning on in autopilot?

Validation of unwanted or uncomfortable emotion does not lead to more of the emotion. In fact, validating and labeling our emotions allows us to more effectively manage & regulate our emotions and increases our ability to move forward rather than getting stuck in the emotion.

This is called “mindfulness of current emotion”, and just one of the many amazing ways we can practice mindfulness. 🌱
