Fear of falling can be just as dangerous as falling itself. People who develop this fear often limit their activities, which can result in severe physical weakness, making the risk of falling even greater. A Matter of Balance is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels.

Classes are for men and women and help participants learn to:

*View falls and fear of falling as controllable
*Set realistic goals for increasing activity
*Promote exercise to increase strength and balance
*A Matter of Balance can help people improve their quality of life and remain independent.

Learn to move better and improve your life.

Hello, and welcome to my page!

Have you ever thought that you would like to move better? Perhaps you are in pain or maybe you feel very stiff. Maybe you are stressed and anxious. Did you know that all of these things pain, stiffness and anxiety are all interrelated? Would you agree with me that there is no separation between the mind and the body? There is just you as a whole person. You! The Alexander Technique teaches you how to move, think and live better. I am a fitness and movement coach and my methodology is the Alexander Technique. You can learn from me in several ways. I have a teaching studio at the beautiful Willow Farm in Little Compton, RI. Please contact me here if you would like to work with me privately. I have also written an Amazon bestseller Agility at Any Age: Discover the Secret to Balance, Mobility, and Confidence. I also have video courses available. You can contact me here if you are interested in those. Thank you! I’d love to hear from you! www.mderbyshire.com
