If I could outsource one room in the house to clean, it would be this one. Soap scum, water spots, mystery buildup… it’s a whole situation.
Instead of grabbing a harsh cream cleanser, try this softer version:
¾ rounded cup baking soda
¼ cup unscented castile soap
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp vinegar
5–10 drops Lemon oil
Mix the baking soda and castile soap first. Stir in the water, then add the vinegar and Lemon oil. You’re looking for a soft, spreadable paste.
Store it in an airtight container. This batch should give you 2 - 4 uses.
Apply it to tubs, tile, sinks, or even the toilet. Let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes, then scrub and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
It cuts through buildup without that overpowering chemical smell that makes you want to leave the room.
