The City of Little Rock is partnering with Edwards Cash Saver and The Samaritan Health Project for a special holiday food giveaway on December 22. Starting at 8:30am, Edwards Cash Saver (6420 Colonel Glenn Rd.) will be giving away turkey breast and hams while supplies last. Limited to one giveaway per vehicle.

With cold temperatures setting in, we are here to provide a safe and warm place for those in need. Please share this information with anyone needing a warm place to stay. We will have a warm and welcoming space ready for people in need on Sunday, December 14, 2025, beginning at 6 pm. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own snacks, drinks, and entertainment items such as books, cards, or games. Pets are welcome.

The City of North Little Rock will operate the Cooling Center due to the extreme heat. The Cooling Center located at 2700 Willow Street in North Little Rock will be open the following days and times for North Little Rock and Sherwood residents
• Saturday, June 21 from 12 pm- 6 pm
• Sunday, June 22 from 1 pm - 6 pm
• Monday, June 23 from 12 pm - 6 pm
Please bring your own food, drinks, and entertainment (books, cards, games, etc.). Vending machines are available. Pets are allowed. Please call the Community Center at 501-791-8541 if you have questions regarding the Cooling Center.
