I really appreciate that the author mentions vulnerability and our culture around it.
Sebastian Younger in his book Tribe describes that Israelis have significantly lower instances of PTSD because every single person in Israel is required to serve. That means that no one feels “alone” when they get back from their duty or when they see conflict. All of society understands them.
What can we do to bridge the gap between belonging and feeling “alone” with an all volunteer military?
Anyone else have input on feeling alone? Not just combat vets.
