We have a final report on Parkway Village 's participation in the Veterans Christmas Shoe Box Project. Residents bought gift items and wrapped 105 shoe boxes! The gift boxes will be distributed to veterans in Arkansas hospitals and nursing homes. Thank you, resident Gloria Dawn Turek, for organizing and leading this project. We honored our Parkway Village veterans Tuesday with a special program. Veteran and resident Bill Hirst shared recollections of service while the Central High School Junior ROTC served as honor guard. We also enjoyed the US flags put out on our grounds by the Scouts from Highland Valley United Methodist Church.
