Grateful for this spotlight on Synergy Saturday from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette / ArkansasOnline.com.

What you see here is simple but powerful: neighbors serving neighbors — free screenings, health education, and patient navigation with no insurance barriers.

This is “street medicine at its best,” and it happens because of volunteers, students, and community partners who show up with love every Saturday.

Thank you to reporter Charlotte de Arantes Oliveira and videographer Hayden Tursky for capturing the heart behind the work.

Come see us. Come serve. Come get screened.

Walk in. Get checked. Know your numbers. Leave empowered.

We bring screenings, education, and patient navigation directly to the community — helping reverse poor health and poverty.

Synergy Saturday is a weekly pop-up wellness event that offers experiential learning, free health screening, and patient navigation services to reverse poor health and poverty. We also connect healthcare professionals to the communities they serve to close care gaps and improve health outcomes.

When service-minded leaders gather, progress follows. Honored to stand with Mayor Frank Scott, Jr., Becky Finney, and my Rotary Club of Little Rock family as we work together to make our community healthier, safer, and full of opportunity. Service above self in action.

Honoring Dr. Jessica Lawson | Black History Month ✨
This Black History Month, we are honored to highlight Dr. Jessica Lawson. She is a Pharmacy Director at CareSource and a UAMS College of Pharmacy alumna. She’s also from Magnolia, Arkansas, and was involved in SNPhA during her time as a student.
I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Lawson through an AMDPA event, and I’m truly grateful for how openly she shared her journey and poured into me. She started her career in retail pharmacy, and her first step into managed care came through a clinical pharmacist opportunity with Medicaid—where she worked on prior authorizations and helped build formularies. From there, her experience continued to grow across different areas of managed care.
One thing she said that I’ll carry with me is: “I want to be that bridge between the doctor and the patient… where it all comes together and makes sense.”
Thank you, Dr. Lawson, for being a light, for representing excellence, and for inspiring students like me to keep going and keep building connections. 🙏🏾❤️

Proud to hear this update today. Encouraging and inspiring message. Little Rock’s strength comes from Mayor Scott, and its leaders, who focus on safety, opportunity, and quality of life for every resident. Grateful to play a small part alongside so many committed partners. The best is ahead.

As we continue serving families through Synergy Saturday, we see firsthand how a strong economy, safer neighborhoods, and quality-of-life investments change lives. Excited to keep working together to help the City of Little Rock, AR, grow even stronger.

Community is built through partnership.

Huge thanks to Erik Guzman and the incredible team at Preferred Research Partners, Inc., for volunteering with Synergy Saturday during our Free Health Screenings.

Clinical expertise + compassion + service = real impact.

This is how we close gaps in health — together.

If your organization wants to volunteer or partner, we’d love to welcome you next Saturday.

Love isn’t just flowers and cards — sometimes it's the quiet choices that keep our homes safe. Clearing out unused or expired prescriptions reduces the chances of misuse and keeps loved ones protected.

Collaborative HealthCare Every Saturday

Synergy Saturday is a weekly pop-up style wellness event with free health screenings, giveaways, health-education handouts, and risk assessments to reverse poor health and poverty. In addition, Synergy Saturday offers free Medicare consultation from licensed insurance professionals.

Screenings save lives! Health screenings catch diseases, illnesses or potential causes in earliest stages when either treatment, an all-natural supplement, or simple lifestyle change has its greatest chance for success. Because our free health screenings have a minimum per-person value of $100, it can be said that for every $100 raised a life is saved! Our participants are empowered by knowing their numbers for the sake of their health and healthy lifestyles. Synergy Saturday encourages its participants to lead healthier, longer, and more productive lives. Our proactive approach is simply to invest in the health of others in efforts to trim healthcare costs and improve communal productivity ... the synergy of life. Synergy Saturday, a 501(c)(3) exempt organization, is the world's first weekly inter-professional pop-up style screening event. It helps people to connect the dots with their screening numbers to draw and see a complete picture of better health. Our name represents our collaborative efforts in population health each Saturday. We are your advocates and innovative solution for affordable, functional and preventative health.

Synergy Saturday is the 2019 Minority Support Organization of the Year winner. Larry Freeman, CEO/Founder, is the 2020 Nonprofit Executive of the Year and 2020 Healthcare Heroes Community Outreach of the Year winner.
