Independent Case Management, Inc. (ICM) is a not-for-profit organization that provides in-home support.

ICM is a not-for-profit organization that provides home and community-based supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and aging adults throughout the state of Arkansas. Created in 1988, ICM began as a pilot project in partnership with the State of Arkansas to implement a 1915c Medicaid home and community-based supports waiver for people with IDD. Today, ICM supports over 280 people with IDD and has approximately 600 employees. The majority of funding stems from Medicaid services that ICM provides to people with IDD within their homes and communities. Other state-wide services include therapies for children with autism, an innovative community center in Little Rock, foster care, and employment supports for people with IDD. To support pre-employment skill readiness, ICM owns and operates three retail stores in Little Rock and a fried pie manufacturing business in Prescott. The main administrative office is located in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Bethany and Shanika enjoyed a joyful evening at the Russellville Christmas Parade, wrapped in warm coats and blankets as festive lights glowed along the streets. They found a comfortable spot along the route, settled in, and spent the evening enjoying the festivities.

From waving at floats to sharing laughs as music carried through downtown, the night was filled with simple fun, holiday magic, and memories worth holding onto. We love seeing these happy moments take shape in the community and sharing them with others! 💜

Meet ICM customer Bryan! Bryan is the dedicated team manager for the North Arkansas Community College Men’s Basketball team, and he absolutely loves being part of the action. He helps keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, supports the players, and brings an energy that everyone on the court feels.

Bryan attends every home game and even travels with the team, taking on responsibilities that allow him to stay active, involved, and right in the middle of a community he cares about. His commitment and drive shine through in everything he does, making him an incredible part of both the program and our ICM family!

Our Story

ICM started in 1988 as a pilot funded by the state to implement individualized community supports provided in the setting of choice to those who have developmental and intellectual disabilities. We were the first organization in Arkansas doing so.

We began in a tiny home thirty years ago and have since expanded to serve in every county of Arkansas and have several administrative offices. We are able to meet your needs, no matter the location. Around 700 passionate employees reach over 300 clients through our vast programs that we have established.
