I would like to take a moment to say thank you to all of the doulas who have and are currently supporting growing families. It wasn't until right before I became a doula that I found out what doulas truly do, the space they hold, and the gap they fill.

Also, thanks to the doulas who helped me during my training and rookie years. Yall the real MVP for being so patient 😆 because doulas need doulas too.

Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication that causes high blood pressure and protein in the urine. It typically develops after 20 weeks, and can persist until delivery (or even later). Although the exact cause is not known, preeclampsia might be the result of an abnormal interaction between the placenta and the mother’s immune system. The good news?
