Get to know us

Celina was born and raised in central Arkansas. After a failed school vision screening in third grade, she received her first pair of prescription glasses. From that moment in the optometrist’s exam chair, a seed was planted. Celina excelled academically and graduated in the top ten in her senior class from Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas in 2002. Before graduating, Celina had already decided on a career path - optometry. She attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, graduating with honors in 2006 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and headed to start her optometric education at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Clinical experience was of utmost importance at NSUOCO, and Celina loved interacting with patients and helping determine their eye care needs. As for her own eye care desires, Celina decided to have refractive surgery to correct her nearsightedness after many years of wearing glasses and contact lenses. Also during her time as a student doctor in Oklahoma, she discovered and honed her strength in patient education. Celina had a way of taking extremely scientific or difficult to understand information and relaying it to her patients in a intelligible, relatable way. She graduated with honors from NSUOCO in 2010, and began practicing in her home state of Arkansas with a group optometric practice providing comprehensive eye care. In 2013, Celina took a position as the Clinical Director of TLC Laser Eye Centers - Little Rock, where she continues to work part-time aiding patients like herself through the considerations of LASIK or PRK vision correction surgeries. Over the her years in practice, Celina began to reconsider the vision she once had of becoming an optometrist. As a child, she always envisioned herself owning a private optometric practice. With the help of her husband, Kristopher, C Klear Vision Optique was created.

Kristopher was also born and raised in central Arkansas. He is the oldest son of seven siblings, and always envisioned working in the medical field. He, too, developed myopia (nearsightedness) and started wearing glasses during elementary school. Kristopher enjoyed school and excelled in baseball and basketball, which eventually sparked his desire to correct his vision with contact lenses. He graduated high school in 2006, and began his collegiate education at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. There he was a basketball student athlete, and later transferred to and graduated from University of Central Arkansas. During his studies at UCA, Kristopher began refereeing junior high and high school basketball games. He graduated from UCA with a B.S. in Biological Physics and minors in Mathematics and Psychology in 2011. Earlier that year, he began working at the same optometric practice as Dr. Watson (then, Dr. Hall) to gain patient experience while applying for medical school. After working in the optometric field for some time, Kristopher’s interest in eye care was piqued. Soon the opportunity to work in large ophthalmology practice arose, and he took a position at UAMS Jones Eye Institute (JEI) in 2013. In July 2013, Kristopher and Celina were married, and in 2015 Kristopher was named by the JEI practice as a whole as M.V.P. (Most Valuable Person). Kristopher became a certified ophthalmic assistant (COA) in 2016, continued to serve in several local volunteer eye clinics, and was frequently encouraged to consider eye care management as a future career path. Although he enjoyed his position as a COA within JEI, the thought of partnering with Celina to execute her childhood vision (as practice manager) of this new practice was exciting. C Klear Vision Optique would be a place where he and Celina could provide exemplary eye care services and products in a kind and caring atmosphere.
