Youth Home, Inc. Changing Lives. Saving Families. Learn more at youthhome.org Our therapies and activities are enjoyed in a beautiful, open, and comfortable 52-acre campus.

Since 1966, we've served youth who struggle with severe mental illness, offering the highest quality of care in the most home-like environment possible. Our mission is to equip both youth and their families to become contributing members of their community by providing compassionate psychiatric and behavioral health care. Youth Home is committed to exceptional treatment for families as a PRTF residential treatment facility for youth ages 12 to 17. Our program addresses each child's entire wellbeing: including medical, psychiatric, social, physical, and academic needs. We accept TRICARE® East, TRICARE® West, CHAMPVA, and Medicaid. We have relied on the donations of our local supporters since 1966, and continue to do so today! If you have a heart for children who struggle with mental illness, we strongly encourage you to support our program. Every child who completes treatment at Youth Home gets to add their handprint to Graduate Hall. 🖐️

Many pick their favorite colors, or in this case, a meaningful design like the American flag.
Children of military families often struggle with frequent moves and deployments, making stability seem out of reach.

As a TRICARE provider, Youth Home is always honored to serve military families, offering a stable and nurturing program for their children to heal and thrive.

As winter weather approaches this weekend, our campus is preparing the best we can. Still, storms and Arkansas weather bring a heightened sense of worry — especially when freezing temperatures and potential power loss put vulnerable youth at risk.

The children in our care depend on warmth, stability, and uninterrupted support. We never want to face future storms wondering if the power will hold or if our campus will stay safe.

That’s why ⚡️Power Up Youth Home⚡️matters.

With support from the Windgate Foundation, we’re working to install emergency backup generators across our residential campus — ensuring heat, safety, and continuity of care no matter the weather.

Help us protect vulnerable youth today, so future storms bring preparedness — not fear.

When the power goes out, healing shouldn’t stop. 💡

Thanks to an incredible $100,000 matching grant from the Windgate Foundation, every gift to our Generator Match Appeal is doubled to help install permanent generators for every residential house on campus. These generators will ensure teens can remain safe, stable, and in treatment—no matter the storm.

✨ $25,000 has already been matched. We still need $75,000 to unlock the full match.
You can be the hero who keeps the lights on and care uninterrupted.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his enduring message of love, justice, and hope.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, our administrative offices are closed today. Our house staff, medical care teams, and students remain on campus, and programming continues as scheduled.

Parents and caregivers who need assistance should contact their child’s house phone.

We reflect today on Dr. King’s vision and recommit ourselves to leading with light, love, and compassion.

Youth Home began with a conversation — and a commitment.

In 1966, social worker Carol Burns Smelley and nine Little Rock community members came together to address the urgent need for residential care for youth in foster care. Carol became Youth Home’s founder and first Executive Director, laying the foundation for what would grow into decades of life-changing care.

This year, we honor that legacy and celebrate how far we’ve come at SpeakEasy, our 60th anniversary celebration.

⏰ Final Hours to Help Families Heal Together

As the year comes to a close, there is still time to make a lasting difference for children and families.

For nearly 60 years, Youth Home has helped families heal together by providing trauma-informed care, stability, and hope to youth and teens facing serious mental and behavioral health challenges. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens when families are supported, guided, and strengthened together.

Your year-end gift, made before midnight, helps ensure this work continues into our 60th year and beyond.

💙 Give today and help families heal—together.
