Saying ‘no’ to something that drains you is a ‘yes’ to your own well-being.

This time of year can be especially difficult as we move towards holiday preparations and festivities. It’s a time filled with pressure, expectation, and a pace that asks more than most of us have to give. This “NO”vember, give yourself permission to step back from what doesn’t align with your energy (and if that feels difficult, let this note be your permission slip).

No to what drains your energy.
No to what asks more than you have to give.
No guilt for the limits you set.
No apologies for protecting your peace.

As the season unfolds, may you move through it gently, honoring your boundaries, and choosing what truly supports your well-being.

When the clocks turn back, maybe we can, too. Toward rest. Toward stillness. Toward the spaces that make it easier to slow down—like The River Room.

As the light softens and the season shifts, everything in nature begins to quiet. We’re meant to, too. It’s not about losing time—it’s about remembering how to move with it.
This season, slower rhythms aren’t a compromise—they’re a return. Beginning this Sunday, The River Room opens into a full day of restorative offerings designed to help you follow that rhythm—gently, fully, in your own way.

Go slowly. Go quietly.
Let this season ~ and The River Room show you how.

When life feels heavy, you don’t need another task — you need a place to exhale. Our Studio Sanctuary & River Room were created for these moments. A quiet place to land. An invitation to slow down, and restore balance between effort and ease. You don’t have to carry it all — or carry it alone. We’re here when you’re ready.

October 10 is World Mental Health Day and it’s the perfect time to remind you that your mind deserves the same care as your body.

In honor of this day, we’re opening our doors and inviting you to experience the calm, restorative spaces we’ve created for mental health support and stress and or trauma recovery. We think you’ll agree that these spaces make each visit like a mini retreat — right here in the White Mountains.

Join us for an Open House, 11 AM – 4 PM. Explore our studio sanctuary and our newest addition, The River Room — a luxurious, retreat-like environment designed to support mental health and stress/trauma recovery through restorative settings and evidence-based tools that work with the nervous system.

Throughout the day you’re welcome to:
• Take a guided tour of the studio and River Room
• Ask questions about our trauma-informed approach
• Enjoy free mini River Room sessions (no sign up ~ just drop in)
• Access special October membership and class pass discounts

If you’ve been looking for a place to breathe a little deeper, move in ways that feel good, or simply rest — this is your invitation. Drop in, explore, and chat with us about how these practices can support your mental health, ease stress, and help you find your footing again.

Rolling out your mat creates a designated, intentional space for self-care, mental focus, and physical healing, it’s a small sanctuary to pause, breathe, and reconnect with your body and mind. At DustOff Yoga, our focus isn’t on perfect poses, it’s on supporting your mental and emotional well-being. Through movement, rest, and community, we create spaces where tension can ease, resilience can grow, and your nervous system gets the care it deserves.

***This Friday, October 10th, in honor of World Mental Health Day, the studio and River Room will be open from 11 AM–4 PM. You’re welcome to stop by, look around, ask questions, and try a complimentary 15-minute River Room session — a simple way to see how intentional rest can make a difference.

Also this Friday is 🌕 Full Moon Sound Bath at 6 PM. The full moon is a powerful time for release, renewal, and transformation. Join us for a soothing evening of sound meditation as both crystal and Tibetan singing bowls along with the steady heartbeat drum, and koshi chimes guide you into deep relaxation.

Sunday October 12th join us at Nesting to Feathers from 10-2 for our very special quilting tribute to support Renee in her row across the Atlantic! Come share your good wishes and stitch your support into a very special gift.

REMINDER: it’s SOCKTOBER!! Please bring in new socks and help us give the gift of warmth for those in need. Last year we collected over 900 pairs of socks!! This year with your help we’ll break 1,000. You don’t have to attend a class to participate~just drop them off in the basket in the hall!

Take a moment and explore this week’s schedule~we can’t wait to share practice with you.

As the trees let go of their leaves, we’re reminded that release makes space for renewal. Our new fall schedule is here! New this week: Join Kim on Thursdays for ALIGNED (Vinyasa Yoga) at 4:30pm where breath and movement are woven together to create a moving meditation. Followed by SERENITY a candlelight flow based practice that will release tension and support deep relaxation. Our seasonal SUNDAY SANCTUARY lead by Michelle Stakutis begins this Sunday at 10am~a beautiful practice of self care that will assist your shift into the season and nurture inner balance.

This week we begin our SOCKTOBER commUNITY service project: Throughout the month of October, we’re collecting new socks to support our local unhoused commUNITY. Socks may seem small, but they’re one of the most needed and most requested items. Last year was a huge success and this year we’re aiming even higher- 1,000 pairs of socks! Drop a pair (or two) in the studio bin and help us spread warmth, dignity, and care as the colder season arrives.

We can’t wit to share the practices with you this season!

🌚 Join us tonight at the Studio Sanctuary for the New Moon Soundbath at 6pm

The New Moon in Cancer draws us inward—to tend to the hearth of self and to reconnect with what feels nourishing, honest, and true. It invites restoration not through effort, but through presence and through remembering the quiet wisdom we carry within. This weekend is extra special as it also marks the Fall Equinox—when the balance of light and dark meets us right here, between what has been and what’s still unfolding. Honored across cultures and lineages as a sacred threshold, the equinox offers a gentle turning point. A time to realign. A moment to reflect on what we are harvesting—and what we’re ready to release.

Tonight’s 75-minute practice offers a layered experience of breath, grounding, guided rest, live sound, and space for reflection. You’ll be supported by the tones of crystal bowls, elemental chimes, and gentle rhythms—woven intentionally to help ease tension, support nervous system regulation, and encourage presence. If you’ve never experienced a soundbath before, there’s nothing to get “right.” You’re simply invited to rest. To listen. To explore what stillness feels like for you.

This isn’t about doing more. It’s about gently meeting yourself in the space between seasons—and tending to what you may be ready to let go of or plant anew. Interested? A new week, a new moon, and new ways to practice together.

In the studio, Tuesday mornings now open with Connected at 9am — a gentle practice to ground and begin the day. Saturdays Connected will deepen into 90 minutes, offering more time for movement exploration and rest. Join us Friday at 6pm, as we gather for a New Moon Soundbath — an immersive evening of vibration and stillness, a chance to release what’s past and welcome renewal with the turning of the moon.

The River Room offers its own rhythm of rest this week:
• Relaxation on Monday mornings at 10:15 am and evenings at 5:30 pm
• Neurosculpting Reset on Wednesday midday at 11:30 and 12:30
• Relaxation again on Wednesday at 5:30 pm
• Neurosculpting on Saturday at 10:00 am

**Monday we also begin our FREE 6 week trauma recovery program ~ Root to Rise, for women who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault. Registration closes tomorrow at noon.

The week ahead is full and diverse. You’re invited to explore what feels supportive — movement, stillness, or sound — and join us in the way that calls to you most.

There is still time to sign up for our fall Root To Rise cohort that begins Monday September 15th!

This transformational and healing six week program offers a safe space for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence to gain greater awareness of self through strength, stability, assertiveness and mindfulness. Participants will be guided through weekly themes for healing with focus on building resilience. We will use both mindful movement and restorative postures, explore positive affirmations with intention, gratitude and guided meditation with relaxation. Classes are integrated with guided activities and exercises, journaling and art. Classes will be build upon each other each week so that participants may establish a ‘toolbox’ of self regulation strategies that may help survivors sleep better, experience less anxiety and depression and cope with various PTSD symptoms. **This is not a support group~there will be no individual “story” sharing.

If this feels like it might be for you—or someone you love—we invite you to reach out, ask questions, or register through the link in our bio.

$50 registration fee includes a yoga mat, journal and all materials~along with a 5 class yoga pass when completing the program. Scholarships are available to ensure that this program is accessible to all. Please share with those that could benefit from this program!
