February invites inward attention, a time when the heart’s quieter rhythms become easier to hear, and simple practices like tea feel like steady companions. This week, we’re offering two special evening Candlelight Tea Ceremonies as a way to meet the season with quiet reflection.

Cha Dao — the Way of Tea — is an ancient contemplative practice in which the simple act of sharing tea becomes a way of listening to what is unfolding within. We gather in candlelight and sit together in shared quiet. The pace is unhurried. The gestures are intentional. The beauty is subtle. Tea does not distract or entertain. It invites listening. In the stillness, there is warmth in the hands, a steadiness in the breath, and the quiet recognition that nothing more is required in the moment. It is a way back to self-care that is not performative, and to discovery that unfolds gently.

This Friday evening offers our bi weekly candlelit ceremony ~ a quiet close to your week.

Saturday offers a very special longer Valentine’s gathering for tender hearts, honoring that this time of year can feel complex as well as celebratory. The ceremony will move at a slower pace, with more space to rest in the ritual. When the final bowl has been shared, the evening continues with a simple potluck meal and time at the table — an opportunity to remain in gentle company.

Both evenings are intimate and prepared with thoughtful intention to support reflection and self compassion. If you’ve been curious about this quiet meditation ritual, there are seats available ~ something that doesn’t happen often ♥️

📣 Calling all commUNITY members!!! Have you been following Renee~our amazing yoga teacher and community member who is currently rowing solo across the Atlantic as Team fOARtysomething in the Atlantic Dash 2026? The Atlantic Dash is one of the world toughest endurance sports on the planet and she is making history as the very first 🇺🇸 American and first solo female rower that has taken on the challenge~and when she completes the Dash she will become the oldest American woman to have rowed the Atlantic solo!!!

She launched January 24 from Lanzarote and is in the early miles of a 3,200-mile, fully unsupported crossing, rowing for 60–90 days to raise awareness and funds for integrative trauma-recovery programs right here in northern New Hampshire through her nonprofit, Outdoor Adventuring for Good.

While Renee is on the ocean, her dad is caring for her teenage son here at home. Renee often says, “Every human being has an ocean to row—and every human being needs a crew.” This is one small way we can be that crew.

We’re organizing once-a-week meal drop-offs to help lighten the load at home (utilizing MealTrain to assist with organization). Comforting, hearty meals are especially appreciated~pasta bakes, casseroles, chili, mac & cheese, tacos, or anything warm, filling, and teen-friendly. Favorite foods (per Renee) is Lasagna, cheesy stuffed shells, pasta!

Details:
• Sign up for a day here: https://mealtrain.com/zg7ege
• Studio drop off in late afternoon preferred (THURSDAY) if you’d like to assist with drop off at family home please let me know

Your support helps nourish Renee’s family while she rows to raise awareness of trauma-recovery resources that are available for others facing challenging seasons~so no one has to navigate their ocean alone. Thank you all for being part of this commUNITY and helping to fill Renee’s Supper Table♥️

Make space to move, breathe, and reconnect this week! We’ve added a new 90 min Thursday class: Embodied that combines Gentle Candlelight Yoga with a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra. This Friday night at 5:30pm is our monthly SOUND SLEEP: an immersive soundbath meditation thoughtfully woven with gentle threads of Yoga Nidra. Together these practices invitee you to soften, release held tension, and meet the quiet call of deep rest that your body and nervous system may be craving. Sunday morning at 11:00am Elen is back in the studio with a morning Cha Dao Tea Ceremony~this quiet morning rituals is a beautiful way to slow down and listen inward.

🎉 We’re honored (and very excited!!!) to share that DustOff Yoga has been nominated for Best of NH (category: Body & Soul/Yoga Studio) 2026!!! 🎉

When DustOff Yoga opened in 2020, the mission was clear and unwavering ~ to offer a sanctuary in northern New Hampshire where mental health, nervous-system support, and stress/trauma recovery were at the heart of every practice. At the time, a yoga studio focused on trauma-informed, resilience and trauma recovery wasn’t widely understood. There was uncertainty and so much skepticism, but this community showed up with curiosity and a willingness to explore something new.

Last year, your votes in the Best of NH Readers’ Poll placed us in the top 5 Yoga Studios and helped shine a light on what this little riverside studio stands for ~ building resilience, trauma and stress recovery, and compassionate support for real people navigating real life.

We’re so honored to be nominated again for Best of NH 2026!! If DustOff has offered you a place to breathe more deeply, move with intention, reconnect with your body, or find steadiness through life’s challenges, your vote helps others discover this kind of care and helps keep mental-health-centered, trauma-informed spaces visible in our northern communities.

Pop over here to check out all the amazing north country businesses nominated and VOTE: https://ypi.revfluent.com/bestof/portal/b4a80030-521a-4dfc-8ae1-41a7d6611315

Rules of engagement: Vote in at least 10 categories to celebrate the businesses that make you happy for your vote to be counted. 1 ballot per person. (You’ll find us under Body & Soul ~ Yoga Studios) ♥️ Share the news and encourage others to vote for their favorite businesses!

Thank you for being part of this community and sharing our mission!! We’re honored to walk this path with you .

This week at DustOff Yoga and The River Room is filled with opportunities to move gently, rest deeply, and reconnect with yourself — whether you’re brand-new or returning after time away. Our full weekly schedule offers a mix of grounding movement, restorative practices, and nervous-system support, and our new Discovery Pass makes it easier than ever to explore and see what feels right for you.

Among the week’s offerings, Sunday holds two especially meaningful experiences designed to help reset, clarify, and nourish from the inside out.

Sunday Morning Tea Ceremony — 11:00 AM
A quiet, nourishing ritual where slowing down becomes the practice. Sip warm tea, breathe, and settle into a calmer rhythm. This ceremony carries the same heart as our candlelight gatherings ~ simply held in the peaceful light of morning.

1:00 PM — Winter Reset + Vision Board Workshop (Program Kick-Off)
Sunday afternoon begins a unique reset experience blending creativity, gentle structure, and nervous-system-informed practices. We start with the Vision Board Workshop — a science-supported, introspective session that clarifies what truly matters without forcing goals or perfection. All materials are provided. From there, you choose your level of engagement: participate in the workshop only, continue into the 4-Week Foundations Yoga Series, or add supportive coaching layers for deeper accountability and care.

This offering is for anyone longing to slow down, listen inward, and tend to what matters beneath the surface. Spots are intentionally limited to keep the experience personal.

And for those who love our sound experiences: keep an eye on the calendar — our next Sound Bath, SOUND SLEEP, arrives on January 23 and is combined with blissful Yoga Nidra Meditation.

Swipe to see the full weekly schedule and River Room hours, save what speaks to you, and reach out if you’d like help choosing what might feel most supportive. We’re honored to practice alongside this community.

📣 Class Cancellation — Hazardous Road Conditions

We’re making the decision now to cancel today’s 4:00 pm class due to icy roads and continued mixed precipitation. Even with slightly warmer temps, the pavement remains cold and icy patches are developing — especially on bridges, shaded areas, and the backroads many of our teachers and students travel. NH DOT is advising that travel may be slick and hazardous as the day goes on. We love commitment — just not the “I drove on glare ice to get to yoga” kind. Stay cozy so our roads crews and 1st responders can do their work without the additional calls for help.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility! We look forward to welcoming you back when travel conditions improve!!
