February invites inward attention, a time when the heart’s quieter rhythms become easier to hear, and simple practices like tea feel like steady companions. This week, we’re offering two special evening Candlelight Tea Ceremonies as a way to meet the season with quiet reflection.
Cha Dao — the Way of Tea — is an ancient contemplative practice in which the simple act of sharing tea becomes a way of listening to what is unfolding within. We gather in candlelight and sit together in shared quiet. The pace is unhurried. The gestures are intentional. The beauty is subtle. Tea does not distract or entertain. It invites listening. In the stillness, there is warmth in the hands, a steadiness in the breath, and the quiet recognition that nothing more is required in the moment. It is a way back to self-care that is not performative, and to discovery that unfolds gently.
This Friday evening offers our bi weekly candlelit ceremony ~ a quiet close to your week.
Saturday offers a very special longer Valentine’s gathering for tender hearts, honoring that this time of year can feel complex as well as celebratory. The ceremony will move at a slower pace, with more space to rest in the ritual. When the final bowl has been shared, the evening continues with a simple potluck meal and time at the table — an opportunity to remain in gentle company.
Both evenings are intimate and prepared with thoughtful intention to support reflection and self compassion. If you’ve been curious about this quiet meditation ritual, there are seats available ~ something that doesn’t happen often ♥️
