It's time for our weekly dose of how stretching supports weight loss. It's all about stretching & mindfulness this week. Stretching is a powerful tool in creating a greater mind-body connection and awareness. Stretching brings your attention to the present moment, blocking out the distractions, focusing on your body and the sensations it is experiencing, and really being intentional with your breath. Do you know that these things lead to: 1) Increased Exercise Performance by focusing on form and alignment for proper ex*****on, leading to greater calorie burn, 2) Reduced Risk of Injury with proper alignment and controlled movement, which is less likely to injure you during physical activity, and 3) Emotional Eating Awareness through mindfulness of emotional-eating triggers and stress-induced eating habits, ultimately leading to better choices in healthy eating? That's a mouthful! And incredibly powerful.
