TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) was first invented in 1985. In October 2008 the first treatment for MDD (Major Depressive Disorder) was sanctioned.
In 2017, TMS was sanctioned to treat OCD. With the most recent milestone being TMS treatment for anxiety with depression being sanctioned in 2021.

What is treatment resistant depression?
Treatment-resistant depression or TRD is determined by a number of factors. Stress, drug use, complexities in your brain, and poor habits can all play a role. TRD is diagnosed when the “standard” treatment methods are not creating that remission rate.
