OUR MISSION
To break cycles of dependency and poverty by investing in and operating faith-driven, locally-owned, sustainable social enterprises. WHAT WE DO
We build and operate high-quality and self-sustaining schools, hospitals, and other social enterprises that help Ugandans lift their communities out of poverty and thrive for generations. WHAT ARE SOCIAL ENTERPRISES? Social enterprises are businesses committed to addressing social and community needs, prioritizing impact over maximizing profit. WHY MUSANA? When you give to Musana, you empower locals with the infrastructure they need to make long-term change within their own communities.

We recently hosted a Primary Teachers Training Seminar focused on sharpening and refreshing our teachers’ instructional skills 📚✨
These regular seminars help our educators stay up to date with the latest trends in education and remain fully aligned with the national curriculum.
As education continues to evolve, so do we. We are committed to equipping our teachers with current knowledge and effective teaching approaches — ensuring our students receive the highest quality learning experience every day.

At Musana, it’s an honor to walk alongside people as they grow into the person they dream of becoming. 💛
That’s why we build schools—and why our locally generated revenue helps fund scholarships for children facing financial hardship. Every child’s dream deserves a chance.
While at Musana, Rebecca discovered her love for children. Through spiritual guidance and a strong sense of community, she was inspired to pursue a future of nurturing and educating young minds.
This is the true impact of locally funded scholarships: they don’t just transform one life—they shape the lives of many for generations to come. 🌱✨

Ahead of the opening of Musana Vocational High School – Kamuli, we warmly welcomed the new staff who will be teaching, mentoring, and caring for our students.
During orientation, we shared Musana’s mission and vision and reflected on our core values — being faith-driven, embracing innovation, and advancing empowerment, among others.
We are excited to welcome them into the Musana family and look forward to the lasting transformation this school will bring to students, families, and the wider community.

Because of thousands of supporters who stood with us during last year’s Shine the Light campaign, two new primary schools have been built in Budaka and Mayuge. 🌟
Registration is underway, and our schools are ready to open their doors to their very first students. Teachers, matrons, and staff—many hired directly from the local communities—are preparing to begin their first day of work.
To the people of Mayuge and Budaka: thank you for welcoming Musana into your communities. We are honored to grow together. 💛

Did you know the soap used at Musana—and throughout the surrounding community—is made by skilled mothers trained and employed at the Musana Empowerment Center in Iganga? 🧼💛
Practical skills change lives. By equipping women and mothers with hands-on training, we’re opening doors to employment and empowering them to start their own small businesses.
As we prepare to open our primary and high schools, we’re also excited to welcome students who will be training at Musana Empowerment Centers—building skills, confidence, and a brighter future. 🌱✨

Nurse Scovia’s story is one of countless examples of how access to quality education transforms lives—and entire communities.

When financial hardship forced her to pause her education, it seemed like her dreams were slipping away. But with the support of a Musana scholarship, Scovia got a second chance.

Today, she’s a nurse, compassionately serving and caring for the very community that once lifted her up.

Because when you invest in education, the impact goes far beyond the classroom. 💛

The countdown is on! 🎉

We’re getting ready to open the doors to our brand-new schools in Mayuge and Budaka!

Who will be the first student to register? What will that first day feel like? We can’t wait to welcome the very first learners into these classrooms, where their educational journeys will begin.

Thanks to your support, these children now have a place to dream, grow, and thrive. And we’ll be right here, sharing every milestone with you.

Because this is just the beginning. 🌟

Ever wondered what a day in Musana’s Kindergarten looks like?

Step into the Baby Class with Sarah, a dedicated early childhood educator who has been nurturing our youngest learners since 2016.

Here, the foundations of learning are gently laid, tiny hands grasp pencils for the first time, minds light up as they recognize colors and shapes, and the first steps into reading begin with wonder.

From Free Choice Time, where children explore through painting or block play, to cozy Story Time sessions, every moment is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and prepare them for a lifelong love of learning.

Come see where it all begins. 🌱📚✨
