Our mission is to improve the lives of humans through the immeasurable power of horses. Premier Accredited therapeutic riding program teaches basic horsemanship and horseback riding skills in an adaptive manner to meet the individual needs of our clients with disabilities of all ages.

Do you know how to properly do carrot stretches?

Myleah Coleman, a PATH-certified adaptive riding instructor, demonstrates how to do carrot stretches on Splash.

Carrot stretches improve flexibility in all horses anytime, but are especially important to improve a horse’s range of motion when sore or injured. Horses are motivated with the carrot to move in certain directions.

Break off pieces of the carrot and follow Myleah’s instructions in the video. Please remember that a horse should be warmed up before doing any stretches.
