There’s no substitute for a dedicated, knowledgeable instructor. Yesterday was filled with thoughtful discussion, shared learning, and true collaboration. Grateful to exchange ideas with patient-centric educators who are deeply committed to mentoring students and strengthening the future of our profession.

The 29th Annual Surgical Technology Educators Conference is officially in full swing!

Our pre-conference event was a huge success—thank you to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt for partnering with us on The Vanderbilt Experience.

The day highlighted innovative technologies and forward-thinking strategies to strengthen the profession. Attendees gained firsthand insight into clinical operations, teaching integrations, and simulation-based training across specialty labs.

Requirements include:
- 3.75 GPA or higher
- 95% attendance
- 85% program completion
- Active AST membership
- Program director nomination
Nomination must be filled out by an educator, not the student. Nomination forms are due 30 days before graduation.
