About Dr. Samuelson

Dr. Christian Samuelson graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2002 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He then graduated from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2007. In 2008 he completed his Internship in General Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Samuelson then completed 3 years of Neurosurgery Residency and 2 years of Clinical Research prior to completing an Anesthesia Residency in 2016 at Louisiana State University. Following his Residency in Anesthesia, he completed an ACGME approved Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management in 2017.

Dr. Samuelson has practiced Interventional Pain Management in both Shreveport, Louisiana and Tyler, Texas. Dr. Samuelson holds board certifications in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management and is a member of The American Society of Regional Anesthesia & Pain Management, The Society of Neuroscience in Anesthesia & Critical Care and The Foundation for Anesthesia Education & Research, and The American Medical Association.

In his free time, Dr. Samuelson enjoys traveling with his wife & family, snow skiing and enjoying the diverse food culture of San Antonio.
