KNC Equine Therapy

KNC Equine Therapy Contact the KNC team for your appointment today or for any questions you may have. 386-205-2343 KNC is owned and operated by Katherine founded in 2009.

We travel across the United state to work our "Magic" on our beloved equine friends. Katherine believes every horse and owner should be able to achieve "HARMONY". HARMONY in KNC terms is when a horse is at its maximum potential and all other elements (muscles, digestive system, structure, hooves, etc.) are working together or in "harmony".

I always come back to these. I created this list in the notes on my phone and come back to it every now and then to make sure my training stays in line with what I believe.

šŸ’« ā€˜Isolate your core- ride from your core- not your legs’

šŸ’« 'Allow’ the horse to be in natural self-carriage’

šŸ’« 'Let go of tightness and restriction- allow energy to ā€˜flow’

šŸ’« 'Always aim to make a positive change every session. No matter whether that's your horse being happier, more supple, more relaxed or more understanding of what's expected of them’

šŸ’« 'Don’t just think of riding forwards- ride the horse with up-hill energy into his elevated shoulders - ā€˜ride a mountain’

šŸ’« 'Inspire and encourage the horse. You want to create a horse that wants to do what your asking; not one you have to forceā€˜

šŸ’« 'Any restriction will create tension.’

šŸ’« 'Ride the horse- from back to front’

šŸ’« ā€˜Converse with tact- the hands connect with the mind and mouth of your horse’.

šŸ’« ā€˜Consistency is key'

šŸ’« ā€˜Be prepared to receive and listen to your horse as much as you expect them to listen to you'

šŸ’« ā€˜In order to experience success, we experience failure - for every failure there is a lesson to be learnt that is a stepping stone to success'

šŸ’« ā€˜Balance and harmony – on every level – is the key’

šŸ’« ā€˜Every few minutes ride on a loose rein- breathe and relax (that's you and your horse!)

šŸ’« ā€˜Just ā€˜be’ with the horse- have fun – aim for harmony and lightness. ENJOY each moment’

After being massaged, it’s no wonder we want our horses to reap the benefits as well. But what exactly are the benefits of equine massage?

Hello facebook friends, today I am asking for your help. I know the power of social media and I am praying we can be blessed with the amazing sharing power and kindness from it!

I am reaching out to all of you to ask for the donation of a dollar. If you are unable to donate please share! You see I need to raise $16,000.00 before September 22nd to insure that the nonprofit Spring Ranch Equine’s gates can stay open a year longer. Due to Covid the funding we have been able to secure annually and the fundraisers we normally host could not take place this year.

Now I am sure you are asking who Spring Ranch Equinepring Ranch Equine is and what we do! Spring Ranch Equine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Veterans, victims of intimate partner violence, and physically / intellectually handcap through horses! Equine facilitated learning, therapeutic riding, horsemanship, and life coaching are just a few of the ways these amazing equines help those who seek out Spring Ranch Equine in order to heal.

Veterans who struggle with PTSD have a safe place to come where they can learn to break through those walls with their equine partners and build a bond and relationship that they will cherish the rest of their lives. Domestic violence survivors learn to trust and share their feeling without fear of retribution. Our Special Olympic team members come and practice weekly with their equine athlete friends in order to prepare for area and state games where they can showcase their skills!

Spring Ranch is a magical place where healing happens for so many. We hope and pray that we can continue to provide these life changing experiences for so many people, but in order to do that we need your help! If you are able to donate a single dollar that is amazing and we will be so thankful. If you are unable to donate please share our post and we will be thankful. Our hope is that our story can go viral and we are able to collect the funds we need!

Thank you all for your support & God bless

Mares aren’t always well liked and for the same reasons strong women aren’t.

Opinionated? Those opinions are not without good cause and maybe you can't figure them out or maybe you just don’t like her opinion of you. Change it and she will always be on your side.

Stubborn? She just won’t let you bulldoze her. Treat her with respect and her resilience will be an asset to you.

Difficult? You just can’t handle her. You don’t have what it takes.

Stick with geldings then, and leave the mare for someone who understands her and appreciates the same qualities society has subtlety taught you not to like.

Here’s to mares, to strong women, and to those who CAN and DO appreciate them!

Photo of a cadaver hoof. The hoof capsule was removed. What you see is the laminar corium or sensitive laminae. What an amazing photo.
