Happy Holidays from NJPA! 2025 was a great year with an increase in NJPA membership, expansion of the NJPAGS internship fair into an internship-externship fair, 6 DPA Hot Topics programs, 22 CE programs for a total of 45 credits in CE (including two conferences), 11 new homestudy courses, 6 Legislative Advocacy Trainings (including a Town Hall with NJABPsi and LMHANJ), a fully funded $10,000 Legislative Grant from APA Services Inc, and 13 Voter Voice advocacy campaigns. Next year, we plan to continue our momentum with more membership growth, high-quality CE, other member programming, and advocacy, as well as our second-ever Fall Convention at The Asbury Hotel! We can’t do it without you!

One in five people are neurodivergent, which means that they have different brains (i.e., ADHD, giftedness, Autism, dyslexia) and ways of interacting with the world. And while there are many different types of schools designed to support neurodivergent learners, supporting neurodivergent students in public school is the baseline of service. Understanding the neurodiversity of our students empowers teachers, administration, and coaches. Register here: https://buff.ly/lBnVoTL

In a time when relationships are increasingly recognized as central to meaning and well-being, APA’s latest Stress in America™ survey revealed that societal division in our nation is a significant stressor for many US adults. Sixty-two percent of US adults reported societal division as a significant source of stress in their lives.
