Congratulations to Alyssa Raymond, RN, Cardiac Cath Lab, for being named our Preceptor of the Month!

“Alyssa has been an exceptional preceptor to me, and is someone whose teaching style is based on patience, clarity and a passion for her work. As someone who did not have Cath Lab experience, Alyssa is able to breakdown complex information into clear, easily understandable concepts making it easy for me to understand with the prior knowledge I have. She has shown genuine care and compassion, not just to her patients, but her co-workers as well."

Thank you to our latest Daisy Honoree, Johanna Espana, RN, 2300/2 West Telemetry, for her commitment to our shared values of excellence and kindness, recognized by a grateful patient.

“I was very sick and sweating profusely from a fever. I felt miserable. Johanna went out of her way to make ice-cold wet cloths and wiped me down with them as my fever broke. In doing so, she helped me become more comfortable. She would come back every 15 minutes and re-administer the ice-cold therapy. I was absolutely miserable and felt so sick before Johanna came into my room to help me. She had been assigned to be my nurse prior to that, and I had met her and liked her very much. She was kind and you can tell she was meant to be a nurse because she had the heart for it and cares for other people. Then when she needed to excel and strut her stuff, she came through like a champion and helped me as if I were her own baby.”
