Livingston local Dennis Alverson recently placed second in the world’s longest and toughest horse race! Here’s what he had to say about resolving old injuries and preparing to compete:

“Just wanted to give a big thanks to Lexi and all the staff at Granite PT.

I suffered injuries from a horse wreck and was scheduled to compete in the Mongal derby the following season. This is the world’s toughest and longest horse race - 1000km.

They got me up and running again in a few months and coached me into the fitness it took to compete again. I completed that race in 7 days, 20 hours earning a second place win. There was no way I could have done it without them. They were a big part of the win.”

Huge congrats to Dennis! We love preparing you for the activities you love!

This is Rachel. Rachel came to PT wearing an AWESOME shirt that we loved!

Did you know that BMI (body mass index) is not a meaningful metric? Some of our strongest, most muscular folks will test in the "overweight" or "obese" category, because muscle is denser than fat. What would actually be useful is an accurate body composition metric that tracks how we build muscle!
