Please welcome our newest member of our team, Ms. Lindsay!! She is our new office manager who will hear on Tuesdays and Fridays starting next week!! She has been a part of our shooting Star fam since 2023 when her littlest (seen grown up in the pic, swipe for her grad pic) needed some feeding help!! This little cutie hit a huge milestone that deserves a shout out!! She is excited to share she is officially a tubie graduate!! While, we support all methods of feeding, this is a huge accomplishment for this family. She continues to work on refining her skills for eating but has been able to eat and drink and GROW without using her button, so it officially was able to be removed. Way to go!!!! ❤️️

Adding this little SuperStar to our wall of fame today!! He and his team came in with lots and lots of concerns related to feeding tolerance. He was super uncomfortable, and was getting way too much air!! Together, we worked on releasing some tension and improving his latch and he is now eating and growing without symptoms!! Way to go!!

So proud of this little man and his amazing family. We met years ago to work on self feeding and he came back with family reporting he loved eating so much he wouldn’t chew and would choke very often. So we worked real hard to come up with a plan that would allow him to keep doing something he loved (EATING) but stay safe!!! Together, we figured it out and he is now chewing and has not choked on foods. Swipe through to see this little man’s growth since last time we hung out. 🤍

This little man earned his star today!! And i could not be more proud. He came to us on thickened liquids from aspiration and unable to advance his textures of foods!! He was found to have a tongue tie (which was revised) and also finally found to have a cleft (after THREE eENT’s) which was repaired. His mama fought so hard and kept pushing and together we got him figured out and now he is eating all foods and drinking without a problem. And his whole family got to have an ice cream and popsicles night together!! Way to go team!! I will miss this crew, but am so glad they are doing so well!!

It’s Rare Disease Day. Did you know that to be considered rare, less than 200,000 people must be diagnosed, and that it’s estimated that 1 in 10 have some form of rare disease. 90% of these diseases are without FDA approved treatment. 90%!!! Many of my kiddos at Shooting Star fall into this. Today, we support and bring awareness to Rare Disease Day. These families will always have me in their corner!! ❤️🦓❤️🦓❤️

This SuperStar earned his spot on our wall and in our hearts forever!! He and his amazing family worked so hard to overcome some pretty big fears around eating after a nasty illness. He started being afraid to swallow and would hold foods and refusing foods he previously loved. We worked together to build in just right challenges to build in trust and confidence again and he is now accepting all foods and has learned he does love eating again! Way to go!!! ❤️

This little cutie and her superstar team earned a star on our wall (right next to her big sis’s)!! She came in with some bottle feeding concerns and was frustrated when eating, and we worked together to determine she had some oral restrictions. She had releases done and is now eating and growing like a champ!! She will keep working on some body work with a PT, but is doing amazing with eating!! Way to go!!
