I find that when I add the doing to the intention, it forces me to be still, to truly think about what I want, what I need to release, what I might have put in my own way.
I burned birch bark, as it is my Ogham. Blue lotus flower for the release of pain. Powdered frankincense to cleanse the negativity and to honor sovereignty. Rose petals to honor my innate feminine. A rose leaf to honor my ancestors. A bit of cinnamon stick to accelerate the energy.
This last year was about ancestral inheritance... the things you inherit that you want, but also that which you don't. My intention was to heal the beliefs around my ancestry, to heal the hurts, and grow the gifts... to put to rest anything I inherited that doesn't align with the life I want.
It was helpful, especially as my parents age, and as I myself get older, and contemplate the legacy I leave.
This year, I drew the rune Algiz. On the most basic level it represents protection. I'll put up a post with a more detailed description.
I also drew the Two of Wands. More about that in another post as well.
Generally, choice in my actions, and protection. Not a bad vibe to start the year with.
Happy New Year, all. ✨️
What are your intentions for 2026?
