One of the ways we do that is through fun, interactive games — like this large card concentration and memory game led by Bryce.

Games like these encourage focus, recall, and problem-solving, all while creating a relaxed and enjoyable group setting.

Residents love the friendly challenge, the laughter that comes with it, and the chance to cheer each other on.

Activities like this support cognitive engagement while also strengthening social connections and confidence.

Music filled the halls at Manoogian Manor last week 🎶✨

We were so grateful to welcome Heart Strings Studio LLC for a beautiful live performance for our residents and staff.

From the first note to the final song, the room was filled with smiles, toe-tapping, and heartfelt appreciation.

There’s something so powerful about live music — it brings back memories, lifts spirits, and connects everyone in the moment.

Our residents truly enjoyed the performance, and our staff loved being part of the experience as well.

Love was truly in the air at Manoogian Manor during our recent Valentine-themed pizza party! 💕

With festive decorations throughout the community and a shared theme of “spreading the love,” our residents and staff gathered for an afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and joy. From heart-shaped pizzas to beautiful flowers and sweet treats, every detail helped make the day feel special.

We are incredibly grateful to Hungry Howie's Pizza for generously donating pizza—including their well-known heart-shaped favorites—and to Jennifer M. Jackson, Vice President of Public Relations at Hungry Howie's, whose coordination was instrumental in making this celebration possible. The pizzas were deliciously made with love at the Hungry Howie's Pizza location in Redford, MI.

Thank you as well to Flowers for Dreams for the stunning bouquets that brightened our space, and to JP Makes and Bakes for the delicious cookies and brownies that brought smiles all around.

We also appreciate David M. Glaeser Jr. of Media Dominance (mediadominance.com), who handles all digital marketing for Manoogian Manor and was onsite capturing these special moments so families and supporters could share in the joy.

It was a beautiful reminder that when community partners come together, love truly multiplies. ❤️

Pizza, memories, and a whole lot of heart 🍕❤️

Our outing to Niki’s Pizza was nothing short of amazing — and for good reason! Voted one of the Top 5 pizza places in Detroit, Niki’s delivers a delicious soft center with a crisp crust, endless toppings, and unbeatable flavor.

We even lucked out with half-off pizza on Wednesday (yes, please 😄).

The staff went above and beyond — from dusting off and laying down a stored ramp to make sure everyone was comfortable, to our wonderful waiter and his mother at the register. Every detail was handled with care.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Agatha, the owner and Niki’s daughter-in-law — truly beautiful inside and out.

A special thanks to Colin McConnell for the recommendation!

And while Larry isn’t pictured, this was one of his favorite spots back in the day. He was the first to sign up after spotting it on the November calendar and was thrilled to report it’s just as good as his first visit 25+ years ago.

One last Christmas-time post before we officially turn the page 🎄❤️

We couldn’t wrap up the season without sharing these wonderful moments from when AGBU Alex and Marie Manoogian School high school students volunteered with us here at Manoogian Manor.

Their visit was filled with kindness and energy — from a thoughtful wheelchair wash to fun floor games, snacks, and joyful caroling.

They also delivered handmade Christmas cards to our residents, each one bringing smiles and heartfelt appreciation.

Seeing young people give their time, voices, and compassion made the holiday season even more meaningful for everyone involved.

Moments like these remind us that Christmas spirit isn’t just about the day itself — it’s about connection, service, and shared joy.
