Three days, two marathon births, one boy, one girl, and two women that blew me away with their strength. If the endurance, patience, courage & love they both showed in labor is any indication of how they will be as mothers, their kiddos are the luckiest! Happy Birthday, little ones! 💚
It's not often my clients labors overlap, but on weeks like this, I thank my lucky stars for my fellow doulas for helping out 🙌, & my husband for holding down the fort at home 💗.

One of my favorite things: While taking a doula break in a hospital waiting room, overhearing two new dads have a meet-cute at the elevators. Excitedly sharing baby stats, handshakes & congratulations. Entered as strangers, left as besties. 🥰

What a year! 2025's experiences each taught me something new, & my clients each left me in absolute awe of their strength. I swear, this work never gets old.
There were:
🌱 Vaginal births & Cesarean births
🌱 Medication-free births & Births w/ pain relief
🌱 Inductions & Spontaneous labors

🌿 Straightforward births & Complex births
🌿 Chunky babies & Sweet, petite babies
🌿 Babies that needed to come early, & those who really took their time

💚 Parents who roared, laughed, cried, or peacefully breathed their babies out
💚 Parents that caught their own babies
💚 Parents who birthed on the floor, in bed, standing up, on their side, on all-fours, & very nearly on the toilet....

EACH ONE 👏 educated, 👏 prepared, 👏 supported, 👏empowered.

Thank you to all. I am so proud & grateful to have served you & your families. I’m excited to see what 2026 brings for Evolution Doula Services!

Navigating the holidays with a new baby can be tricky. The extended family wants to meet them, celebrate their arrival, share stories and advice, and smooch their precious, little faces! I mean, who wouldn't? 👶🏻
But, if you feel strongly about something, don't be afraid to set boundaries. Protecting your babies health, feeding schedules, and your physical & emotional healing are all extremely important. That doesn't change during the holiday season.
🎄If you are a new parent, enjoy this special time with your baby. Do what feels right for yourself and your family.
🎄If you are visiting a family with a new baby, respect their boundaries, celebrate their new arrival, give them grace & time while they navigate this special stage.

Love this idea 💓 Support for those rough moments that each birth worker goes through.

We are excited to announce our new 24/7 confidential crisis hotline for community perinatal birth workers (midwives, doulas, student midwives etc). If you have experienced a difficult birth or other work based experience, feel free to call any time. Sometimes it can be helpful to debrief confidentially with an unconnected trauma informed birth worker who is not in your community. We can lend a non-judgmental ear and give you access to other services if you want them. You don’t have to go it alone or be strong for everyone. “Peace begins at birth, but peace starts with me.”
