Healthy eating does not need to be complicated! You do not need to be an all-star chef and spend hours in the kitchen.

There is no need to buy all the fancy ingredients, supplements, and kitchen tools - work with what you got!

Salads do NOT have to be boring! Add fun and interesting ingredients to get out of the lunchtime rut.

Kale salads are great because you can make them the night before, dressing and all. Raw kale is pretty tough, so putting an acidic dressing on it at least a few hours before eating it, makes it much softer and less bitter.

Most patients starting a GLP-1 medication are nervous about diarrhea, but we actually see a lot more constipation with these meds. GLP-1 meds slow down the GI tract, so this makes sense.

Increasing fluid, fiber and physical activity are the tried and true recommendations for constipation, but a dietitian assessment is optimal as we sometimes see other things going on. Some people are getting too much protein, not enough carbs, and even sometimes too MUCH fiber all of which can sometimes make constipation worse.
