Thank you to all of our patients who have donated toys for YMS (Youth Mentoring Service) in Lockport! Today they were delivered by Santa (aka Dr Shaw). Also, Thank you to TJ Maxx, Village Eatery, UAW, Cadence Music, and the Mini Cooper Club for collecting gifts and/or helping deliver. You have all helped this Christmas Season to be a little brighter. ✝️🎄🎅🏼

As we near the end of the year, we wanted to remind you to take advantage of any unused dental benefits. Every year you receive a maximum amount from your dental insurance company. Generally, these plans do not let you rollover unused dollars to the next benefit year.
In addition, if you have funds set aside in a flexible spending account (FSA) or healthcare saving account (HSA), now is the time to schedule treatment so your copayment amounts can be applied to this year's deductions.

Dear Patient: We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: LDG’s commitment to your safety. We have been given permission from the state to begin full dental care for our patients including cleanings! We will start with a soft opening this week and be fully operational starting June 8th. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example: - We have installed Plexiglas barriers in the front desk area. - Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. - We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. - You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. - Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. When you arrive at the office please call and the front desk will let you know when you can come in for your appointment. - We will be taking the temperature of staff and patients daily. A temperature of over 100.4 may require reappointment. We also will have all patients use a pretreatment antiviral peroxide rinse. - We have installed medical grade air purifiers throughout the office that filter 99 -100% of viruses. - We had Stanley Steamer use a safe electrostatic fog to disinfect the office before we open.
