Okay folks we are a little less than a week out to start my “fun” of 1 of the 3 surgeries.! If you still haven’t reached out to me to get your back up massage therapist please do by Thursday as I have a few who are graciously accepting my clients while I’m recovering.! Please give them the up most respect by making sure your horses are in, brushed, dry, and ready. Also to remember their prices are their prices!

Today was tape kind of day. Tape in action!

Kinesiology taping can help so many attributes of the horse and rider! Today was a great example of the tape in action.

Why massage?

The physical manipulation of muscle tissue reduces pain and tension, allowing the horse to move with greater ease and fluidity. Massage also stimulates the release of endorphins which reduce the perception of pain. Since massage helps to keep muscles relaxed and supple, it lowers the risk of injury significantly.

Taping after massage can then further help with a horse’s recovery and the overall massage by stimulating the skin’s touch receptors for any residual swelling or pain. Taping can also help with circulation of the blood flow and lymphatic fluids, can also help support joint’s mobility and flexibility.
