A little late, but thank you Lodi Memorial Park & Cemetery for hosting Light the Night where guests could share a meal as a community, create ornaments for our loved ones, and light candles to remember those who made our lives brighter during their time in this realm.

*** We humbly apologize for any confusion with our post in the Lodi News Sentinel! This event is at Lodi Memorial Cemetery ***

Please join us at Lodi Memorial Park & Cemetery for the annual Light the Night Celebration where we light candles in memory of our loved ones, knowing their warmth has never left us while they live in our hearts and thoughts.

The mausoleums will be open at noon, there is a potluck lunch at 2:00 p.m., and there is an opportunity to decorate and light candles from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. as the day sets.

You are welcome to decorate and light a candle from the cemetery or bring one from home and add it to our table.

Hope to see you there, and if not, we hope you all have a safe and cozy holiday.

An absence rings loud during the holidays. Celebrations fall flat when a special someone is no longer there to join us or brighten the season, or maybe long standing traditions have to be adapted when we no longer return to a special home our loved one kept, or the favorite foods that can't be replicated the same they made them. This is where we not only grieve losing that person, but also the regular events we looked forward to and expected at the holidays.

Our hearts are with the grievers this Christmas and Yuletide season as we remember those we loved. Wishing everyone a safe holiday with support from those we can still hold close.

Our Story

Lodi Funeral Home was started by a husband and wife team, Samuel and Mildred Salas. They started with a converted house on School Street in downtown Lodi in 1932. The current location on Fairmont was built in 1967. Through the years, Sam and Millie built their business by following their motto: Thoughtful Service Within the Means of All. Both were dedicated to helping the people of their community with kindness, compassion, understanding, hard work and professionalism. Today, our dedicated professional staff continues to operate Lodi Funeral Home with the same values and business motto. Our motto "Thoughtful Service Within the Means of All" is also our mission statement. All of the staff of Lodi Funeral Home are dedicated to providing all families with the best possible service. Our job is to make what can often be one of the most stressful times for a family less stressful. The details will be taken care of with efficiency and finesse.
