HIRING: Senior Software Engineer – AI Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Location: 100% Remote
Type: Long-Term Independent Contractor
Rate: $7.00 – $8.00 USD / hour
We are seeking a dedicated, professional Contract Software Engineer to help design and support a next-generation, AI-powered EMR platform. This is a stable, long-term opportunity to build intelligent healthcare software that reduces documentation burden and improves clinical workflows.
🛠 Scope of Work & Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance components of an AI-enabled EMR platform.
• Build secure backend services for patient records, clinical documentation, and system interoperability.
• Develop intuitive front-end interfaces for clinicians, administrators, and care teams.
• Architect and maintain APIs and data pipelines supporting real-time clinical data processing.
• Integrate AI capabilities, including clinical summarization and predictive risk stratification.
• Ensure all systems are compliant with HIPAA, HITECH, and federal healthcare regulations.
• Support healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
📋 Required Qualifications
• A minimum of five (5) years of professional software engineering experience is required.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using Python, Java, C #, or Node.js.
• Professional experience with modern front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs and work with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI or machine learning solutions into production systems.
🌟 Preferred Skills (Not Required)
• Prior experience developing EMR, EHR, or healthcare-specific SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of post-acute care workflows, including home health or hospice services.
• Experience with NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), or ambient clinical documentation tools.
💼 Contract Terms & Success Criteria
• This is a long-term, independent contractor engagement.
• Contractor is responsible for all taxes, insurance, and personal benefits.
• Success is measured by the delivery of secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
• All candidates are required to execute confidentiality and intellectual property agreements.
