In July 1938, Loyal Hall established Hall Mortuary when he purchased Richards Mortuary in Logan. In 1975, James (Jim) Allen and his wife Faye moved from Bountiful, Utah and purchased Hall Mortuary, fulfilling their dream to come back to Cache Valley. Jim loved being a funeral director and still came into work every day after he "retired" until he passed away in 2009. Jim's legacy still lives on today with each of his three sons Jeff, Jason and Jodi and grandsons Jase and Drew all working in the business. In the 1990s the Allen's purchased Cranney Mortuary and renamed it Allen Mortuary of North Logan. With multiple locations in the valley along with unmatched tradition, quality and stability, thousands of residents have already made the choice and pre-planned their funeral arrangements with Allen Mortuaries. The team at Allen Mortuaries looks forward to serving Cache Valley for many more generations.
