Logan County Emergency Management Announces Warming Center and Warming Stations Available Beginning Tomorrow, December 13th.
Logan County, WV โ Logan County Emergency Management has announced the opening of a community Warming Center, along with two Warming Stations on standby, to ensure residents have a safe place to seek relief from the cold weather beginning tomorrow.
Primary Warming Center:
Location: Logan County Resource Center (Old 84 Lumber Site)

This Warming Center will operate to provide a warm, secure environment for individuals and families in need during the upcoming cold-weather period.
Current operating hours: Saturday, December 13th 5:00 pm through Monday, December 15th at 3:00 pm.
Volunteer Support Needed:
Logan County Emergency Management is seeking volunteers to assist with operating the Warming Center from Monday at 3:00 PM through Tuesday morning/afternoon. Individuals willing to donate their time are encouraged to contact Pastor Scotty Dingess at (304) 785-6740.
Daytime Warming Stations on Standby:
Two additional facilities will be available for daytime hours only, pending need for activation:
1. Tracy Vickers Community Center (Chapmanville Area)

Public Reminder:
Residents are encouraged to check on neighbors, particularly the elderly or those without adequate heating. Logan County Emergency Management will continue monitoring weather conditions and will provide updates as needed.
