🦠 Feeling Under the Weather? Here's What You Need to Know Before Your Dental Appointment 🦷

Your health—and the health of our team and patients—is our top priority. If you're feeling sick, please review the following before coming in for your appointment:

🤒 How Sick Are You?

If you're experiencing symptoms that make it hard to sit still or breathe through your nose (such as congestion, coughing, or fatigue), it may be best to reschedule. Comfort and safety matter—for you and us!

😷 Are You Contagious?

If you're sneezing, coughing, running a fever, or have tested positive for COVID, the flu, or another virus, you may still be contagious—even if you’re starting to feel better. Please consider the safety of others and stay home if you’re unsure.

📞 What to Do If You're Sick:

If you're showing any signs of illness—cough, sneezing, runny nose, fever, or a positive test result—call us as soon as possible to reschedule. Our schedule fills up quickly, so early notice helps us rebook your appointment sooner.

❌ Need to Cancel?

We understand things happen—especially illness. While we ask patients to keep their appointments whenever possible, sickness is a valid reason to cancel. If you're not feeling well, it's OK to stay home.

Let’s work together to keep our office a safe and healthy space for everyone! 💙

🦷 Happy National Child Health Day! 🧒
Healthy smiles start young! Regular dental check-ups help kids build strong habits and prevent cavities early. Schedule your child’s visit this October and set them up for a lifetime of smiles! 😁✨

🦷Baby Teeth Matter

Primary (baby) teeth help with speech, chewing, and guide the permanent teeth into place.

Cavities in baby teeth can lead to infections and affect overall health. Early visits help identify issues and educate parents on proper care.

🍭Tooth Decay = Most Common Childhood Disease

Tooth decay (early childhood caries) is 5x more common than asthma in children. Preventable with proper brushing, diet, and regular dental visits.

😃Brushing Basics

Children should brush twice a day for 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste. Parents should assist with brushing until around age 6-7, or when kids can tie their own shoes.

🦸‍♀️ Fluoride Is a Superhero

Fluoride strengthens enamel and prevents cavities. Ask about fluoride treatments or supplements if your water isn’t fluoridated.

🍏Limit Sugary Snacks & Drinks

Frequent snacking on sugary/sticky foods increases cavity risk. Encourage water and healthy snacks like cheese, fruits, and veggies.
Good Habits = Healthy Smiles for Life

Teaching kids the importance of oral hygiene early helps them carry those habits into adulthood.

Dudley tells the story on how you can keep your smile healthy for a lifetime.

Hi, I’m Brandon! I’m a dentist 🦷, a community volunteer 👨‍🍳, a mountain biker 🚵, a fly-fisher 🎣, and most importantly, a dad who loves cheering on my daughters💃💅👩‍🍳. Whether it’s serving on the Lolo School Board, coaching youth sports, or mentoring teens, I always try to show up and make a difference where I can.

One cause close to my heart is the Ronald McDonald House Missoula. It's been a lifeline for families during some of their hardest moments—a quiet room to rest, clean clothes, a warm meal, and the comfort of knowing they’re not alone. That’s why I’m proud to be part of the Cattlemen’s Club, which helps keep families together and ensures that the kind of care I’ve seen firsthand continues to be available.

Ronald McDonald House Missoula asks for a $25 donation per night from families, but they never turn anyone away if they can’t pay. The true cost to keep that room open each night is $125. Your support would mean the world to me, and to so many families who rely on the House during difficult times.

Thank you for considering helping us provide a safe, supportive place for families in need.

We've all had those moments that stop us in our tracks and remind us just how precious life is, a late night phone call, an unexpected diagnosis, plans changed in just an instant.

My connection with the Ronald Mcdonald House Missoula began in the kitchen. Our clinic team prepared dinner, and I had the privilege of meeting parents, hearing their stories, and playing with kids far from home. What I witnessed was powerful: the house offers families a sense of comfort, community and the feeling of home when they need it the most.

Families are able to stay at little to no cost. While there's a suggested donation of $25 per night, no family is ever turned away for the inability to pay. It costs a $125 a night to operate each room, and donations help bridge that gap so family stays remain possible.

Neighbors helping neighbors is the Montana way. If you're able, please consider lifting a family up by supporting Ronald McDonald House Missoula today. Thank you!
