Congratulations to Dr. James Huang, VA Loma Linda’s 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year. “Dr. Huang truly exemplifies the educational mission of VA,” said Dr. Hana Mikdachi, VA Loma Linda’s Associate Chief of Staff for Clinical Education.

Through Clinical Education, residents nominated attending physicians that made an impact on their education at VA Loma Linda.

One resident shared that Dr. Huang is the “best doctor I’ve worked with.” Another resident said, “He is the epitome of excellence and brilliance as a physician. Not only is he enthusiastic and dedicated to teaching, but he always thinks outside the box to deliver exceptional patient care. He is a physician that has changed lives, not just of patients, but also of students and residents.”

In response to the residents’ comments, Dr. Huang said, “I am really touched and glad that I made a difference in their education. All these comments validated my decision to join the VA 26 years ago.”
