This week, members of our Foundation team visited Lompoc Valley Medical Center , the Comprehensive Care Center, and Lompoc Health locations to deliver pies as a small gesture of gratitude.

We are truly thankful for the dedicated staff across all facilities and departments who work tirelessly to care for our community every day. It was wonderful to connect with so many team members and share our appreciation in person.

Our free Caregiver Information Session was a tremendous success last night at the Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center! The evening, which included a soup and salad dinner, was all about supporting those who give so much of themselves every day.
Everyone enjoyed helpful information and local resources for caregivers, raffle prize giveaways and a calming chair yoga stress-relief session.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — and to the amazing presenters, volunteers and community partners who made it all happen, especially sponsor Superior Home Health, Hospice and Senior Services and supporters including the City of Lompoc, Coast Caregiver Resource Center, Compass Plus, Family Service Agency, Alzheimer's Association, California Central Coast Chapter, LVCHO, Caring Together Santa Barbara County and more.

We are saddened by the loss of Carolyn Sue Huseman, a true friend of the Foundation. Sue served for 12 years as Vice President of the Foundation Board.
We send our condolences to family and friends.

Carolyn Sue Huseman was born March 10, 1946, in Carnegie, Caddo County, Oklahoma, to John Oliver and Mary Brooks Holcomb, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Santa Barbara, surrounded by her daughter and close friends. Sue was raised on the family farm in Boone, near Apache,
