Jerome Egle founded Egle Nursing and Rehab Center in July of 1977. The nursing facility has seen many changes in its rich history, the grandest being an expansion in size from 24 to 66 beds in 1992. In 2000, the facility was purchased by G.C. Healthcare is locally owned by Jeff Metz, David Lauder, Troy Raines, and Barbara Lauder. With its 100 employees, the nursing facility is one of the major employers of the George's Creek Valley in Lonaconing, Maryland. Recent years have seen the addition of a complete rehabilitation unit, an Alzheimer's care program, and progressive skilled nursing care. Egle consistently ranks in the Top 10 of all facilities in Maryland. Egle operates on a philosophy of care that is solely centered on the needs of its residents. We take pride in our ability to provide the highest level of care in a small facility that offers a hometown atmosphere. In this setting, the nursing facility is still able to provide more direct personal care to its residents. Great emphasis is given to the smallest of details. We just want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made our residents' Christmas a little brighter! 🌟 They received an outpouring of love with Christmas cards and crafts from so many caring individuals and groups, including Deb & Rick Lashbaugh, George’s Creek Senior Center, the Finan Center, Operation Christmas Card, George’s Creek After School Program, Westmar Students, and Cumberland Lady Knights of the Cumberland Council.

🎄❤️ CHRISTMAS EVE CELEBRATION AT Egle❤️🎄

Our residents had the merriest Christmas Eve party! 🎉 Cake, chips, dip, and punch galore – we kicked off the holiday with love and laughter! 🎂

Each resident received a personalized photo blanket with pictures of their cherished loved ones ❤️ – and let’s just say there were tears of joy as they wrapped themselves in memories! These blankets are more than just cozy; they’re a reminder they’re loved and never alone ♥️

The George’s Creek After School kiddos also whipped up some adorable snowflake pillows for our residents 💕 – such sweet treats! Thank you so much!

A ginormous THANK YOU to EVERYONE who helped make this holiday season special for our residents 🙏 – through supporting fundraisers, sending donations for gifts, making and sending beautiful Christmas Cards,or volunteering your precious time… YOU made a difference! 🌟
