Our phones and internet are currently down, but the office remains open and all services are still available.

Jonathan Alder Local School District juniors and seniors participated in a Safe Driving Game Show today designed to reinforce key traffic safety behaviors before holiday travel begins.
Students answered questions related to seat belt use, distracted driving, impaired driving, and speed awareness and demonstrated how informed choices behind the wheel protect not only themselves but everyone sharing the road.

As we enter one of the busiest travel seasons of the year, this serves as an important reminder to our entire community. Please buckle up, stay focused, and make safe decisions every time you drive. Your family and friends are expecting you home for the holidays, so let’s make sure everyone gets there safely.

Public Health covers a wide range of domains and services that impact the health of individuals and communities, and as you can see, they are all interconnected.
At Madison County Public Health, our prevention programs service three target audiences as described by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA): universal, selective, and indicated. Prevention programs are tailored to target one of these three audiences to effectively improve health outcomes and health behaviors.
