Here at PHI, we love to welcome new faces that have interest in or are in a career in the medical field and want to come see what it’s like to fly. PHI offers a ride along program through the winter months that allows individuals to come observe what we do and get to go on patient flights if it permits.

Tonight we had Angela ride along with us on a patient flight and we found ourselves all the way out in Pikeville. We are thankful we get to provide these opportunities and get to meet new people through this program!

Borrowed this picture from our friends at PHI6 who snapped some action shots of PHI1 landing at TriStar Skyline Hospital in Nashville. We don’t get the opportunity often to cross paths with our sister base out of Greenville, KY, but it is always a pleasure when we do.

The weather on Monday was not exactly optimal, but both of these helicopters are equipped with the ability to fly IFR when the weather isn’t so great. All of our aircraft in the state of Kentucky can fly with instruments when weather doesn’t permit for us to fly by visual field rules (VFR).

Come join us on December 6th from 4-6 at the London-Corbin Airport to watch Santa fly in on a helicopter! Not only will Santa have a new ride, but we will be able to have cookies with Santa.
