ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕠 𝔽𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕𝕤! 👋 We're happy to see you back for another episode of 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓!

This week, Darby touches on some practices in the northern and northwestern part of the country regarding delayed interments. While not desirable, sometimes the ground is too solid to dig a grave, even with use of a backhoe or other equipment. While we do not experience this phenomenon in Central Ohio, our experiences have allowed us to work with funeral homes in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota where we have learned that often interments are delayed until the ground is softer and able to be accessed. While funerals still proceed as normal, often times the deceased is held in a storage morgue until the time their interment is able to be completed.

While this concept may seem strange to us in proceeding to cemeteries during whatever season it may be (sometimes all four in one day here in Ohio❄️🌧️☀️🍁), this has become a standard practice for those areas and is largely accepted as a normalcy.

We are honored to es**rt John “REV” Edward Jones. Saturday, December 20, 2025, The Jones family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A heartfelt funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, and interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery. The Jones family has requested all available bikes we can get to es**rt John “REV” to his final resting place!
