New Year, New You! 💫

Make 2026 the year you show your Duvet Cover who’s boss! 😂

Not gonna lie, I had to watch a few YouTube tutorials before I got the hang of it!

1. Lay duvet inside out flat on mattress.
2. La duvet insert on top of duvet cover.
3. One each corner, using the ties on the duvet cover, tie a bow around the loop on the duvet insert
4. Roll the duvet cover and insert towards the opening of the duvet cover like a burrito.
5. Once you get to the opening of the duvet cover wrap the burrito right side in and then either zip or button the duvet cover.
6. Unroll the duvet cover an insert from the open end and you’re all done!

I’ve noticed a few new faces around here, so a quick re-intro feels right.

Hi, I’m Dawn. Founder + CEO of The Managed Home.

This all started in 2021. I was working a very traditional 9–5 in the tail end of COVID and needed something to focus on that wasn’t… the chaos of the world. So I launched Declutterize with Dawn (an in-home organizing company).

In 2023, I left that very secure, well-paying job to take DWD full-time. Still wild to say out loud. I’m not a risk-taker. I’m a planner with a backup plan for my backup plan. But I knew I wanted more.

After organizing dozens of homes, I started seeing a pattern. The clutter wasn’t the only problem; it was the mental load …the invisible labor.

And I was living it too.

The planning. The lists. The bills. The meals. The logistics. My husband helps a lot—this wasn’t a lack of support. It was my need to make everything run perfectly, on my timeline.

I remember sitting at my desk, staring at my never-ending to-do list and thinking… How is anyone actually keeping up with this? While working full-time? While raising kids?

That’s when The Managed Home was born.

Today, we’re a team of three (and growing), supporting 11 families and giving them back nearly 50 hours of time every single week.

Because being capable doesn’t mean you have to do everything yourself!

We're Hiring!

The Managed Home is looking for a hard-working, highly organized individual to join our team!

Hours: 4-20 hours/week, Hours not guaranteed
Compensation: $20/hr + new client referral bonuses
Flexible/Mother’s Hours

Company Culture:
The Managed Home is a dynamic, rapidly growing business that offers house manager and organizing services to our clients.
Our mission is to give our clients time back in their day, so they can spend their time doing what they want to do.

Responsibilities Include
-Anticipate client’s needs
-Coordinate daily tasks including laundry, dishes, trash/recycling, and light cleaning.
-Manage household supplies, groceries, and inventory maintenance
-Organize children's belongings, including clothes, toys, and books
-Assist with children's schedules, lunches, and school-related tasks
-Light pet care responsibilities: Feeding, changing water
-Coordinate car maintenance, including washing, vacuuming, and service appointments.
-Run personal errands such as shopping and dry cleaning pickup.
-Maintain organization in communal areas and assist with seasonal decor.
-Schedule and oversee appointments for home maintenance services.
-Manage communication with handymen, landscapers, cleaners, and snow removal services.
-Assist owner with any other ad hoc organizing projects
-Cross train with our other house managers and their clients
-Cover other house managers for sick days, etc

Qualifications:
-Previous experience in professional organizing, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred but not required
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and professional demeanor
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
-You are willing to fulfill tasks like breaking down boxes and taking out the trash
-You are kind, compassionate, and respectful - especially when in the homes of our clients.
-Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and preferences
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
-Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
-Physical Stamina with ability to be on your feet for at least 4 hours/day
-Respect for client confidentiality and discretion
-Passion for creating organized and functional living spaces
