10 LJ FFA members traveled to UCM in Warrensburg for the Central District Career Development Events today. Earning a Gold rating, the ag mechanics team qualified for state and will compete in Columbia during the State FFA Convention in April!
The meats team earned a silver rating and we had incomplete teams compete in livestock and poultry.

LJ FFA members traveled north for the first CDE contest of the year on Friday.
The day was highlighted with the Ag Mechanic team’s fourth place finish, led by seniors Mavy T and RK Jigs who placed FIRST and SECOND overall out of 112 competitors!!
We also had students compete in Meats, Livestock and Poultry evaluation who all gained valuable experience.

This afternoon two LJ FFA members traveled to Harrisonville for the 26-27 Area 7 officer team interviews. Although Aiden wasn’t selected, he did a great job and proudly represented our chapter. Also, thank you to Kyler for working as a voting delegate and networking with other FFA members from the area.

It's Official!

LJ FFA members Mylee, Mavrick and Ryan have all been approved to receive the State FFA Degree. These three will be recognized during the Missouri State FFA Convention in Mizzou Arena on Friday, April 17th.
Additionally, Mavrick will travel to Columbia the weekend before state to interview as a candidate for Star in Agribusiness.

Six LJ FFA members traveled to Sedalia for a meat evaluation and ag mechanics CDE workshop held at the brand new ag facilities on 2/27. Thank you to State Fair Community College for hosting this event!

Students and staff at Lone Jack Middle and High School were able to try some grilled American lamb burgers today at school to help celebrate National FFA Week. The lamb carcass was studied and prepped as a project by the Animal Science class. This opportunity was made possible through a grant from the Missouri Sheep Merchandising Council.

LJ FFA members had a great time at the KC mavericks hockey game last night. Came away with the 4-3 victory, lots of cowbells and good stories! Was even able to add another member to the Pizza Street 2026 HOF class!

Bus for the Mavericks hockey game and Pizza Street take 2 leaves at 5pm today!

FFA members stop by the ag classroom Thursday during your lunch shift to grab a cheeseburger, chips and drink.

Tell your friends that tomorrow’s their chance to taste some quality lamb burger that was prepped by the animal science class!
Mr. D will have the grill rolling all morning!

FFA spirit days begin tomorrow to celebrate National FFA Week. The more you participate the more leadership points you accumulate for end of year rewards! Encourage your non-FFA friends and teachers to participate as well.

In addition to the activites shown in the photo we will also be doing:

Monday night officer presentstion to 8th grade families, 6pm
Wednesday night Mavericks hockey game
Thursday FFA member lunch - during your shift to grab a burger, chips and drink!
