Last year, our organization contributed more than $48.5 million to community organizations, while colleagues volunteered 240,000 hours and contributed another $18 million - matched by HCA Healthcare. We are so proud of our Gyn Oncology team at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge and HCA HealthOne Gynecologic Oncology for not only being the first in the nation to achieve Surgical Review Corporation's (SRC) Center of Excellence Accreditation in Gynecologic Surgical Oncology, but our OR team is also the recipient of the Healthgrades 2026 Surgical Care Excellence Award and was named among the top 5% in the nation for surgical care. As a member of this world-class network, HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge is committed to engaging people of all ages to raise awareness about lung cancer and the need for continued research. On this Veterans Day, HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge was honored to have Sheriff Darren Weekly with Douglas County Sheriff's Office join us as Corporal Dawn Elzi delivered a powerful, moving rendition of the national anthem to our proud and grateful team. We are blessed to have more than 150 exceptional veterans working here and deeply appreciate their service to our country. HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge is also pleased to share that HCA Healthcare is giving $150,000 to veteran support organizations in honor of Veterans Day. Since 2012, HCA Healthcare has hired more than 65,000 veterans, active-duty and reserve personnel and military spouses. It is important to know the risk factors and symptoms as early detection and treatment can improve one's chances for survival. Across our larger system of care, HCA Healthcare Sarah Cannon Cancer Network treats more than 12,000 lung cancer cases each year, bringing deep experience and compassionate care to every patient. And, HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge is here to shine a light on this disease as "anyone with lungs can get cancer." Happy Halloween from our HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge family to yours! The Addams Family was on hand to deliver treats to our colleagues, and we had a special visit from Superman (aka Commissioner Laydon), Captain America and Wolverine (from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office). They loved being part of our baby's first Halloween! And kudos to our Radiation Oncology team for their very creative Snow White costumes! Stay safe while enjoying the festivities!
