The Truth About "Scarless" Breast Augmentation 🔍
To set the record straight: there's no such thing as a truly scarless breast augmentation. An implant has to get inside somehow, and that requires an incision—whether it's placed in the armpit or at the base of the breast.
The most common approach today is an incision at the inframammary fold (IMF)—the natural crease beneath the breast. Patients typically seek “scarless” because of their fear of the healing process. But there are solutions and remedies for that very concern and we have ways here at our office. From laser resurfacing with Sciton MOXI to BBL treatments that target redness or discoloration, to chemical peels and radiofrequency microneedling—there are multiple ways to optimize scar healing and appearance.
Bottom line: Scars are part of the process, but they're manageable, discreet, and rarely a concern for our patients.
